Classic Rehab Community was established in 1993 by John Sherwood
and his mother Janet to provide specialized and flexible environments
that would meet the varied and specific needs of people living with
brain injury. Developed from a pioneering home with only two private
bedrooms, Classic Rehab Community has grown along with the awareness
of Brain Injury in the community. We now have 5 homes in Langley
and serve up to 26 people at any one time. We are also building
a six home complex that will serve 42 people in Lake Country, BC.
The Lake Country Learning Community is
targeted to open late in 2008. We are proud to be an active leader
in the brain injury community and to play a role in developing services
and increasing awareness for people living with brain injury.
We offer support, hope and a place to live for people at all levels
of abilities. Classic Rehab Community offers individualized transitional
rehabilitation programs and residential services for people
living with brain injury. We form our own social support network
as well as integrate in to our local community. Our philosophy is
based on that of community inclusion and supporting our participants
to build meaningful relationships, fulfill their dreams and to be
connected to their community.
