Langley
At Classic Rehab Community we create the spirit of a family home in each of our five residences. Common areas are roomy, warm and inviting. Large, private bedrooms reflect the personal touches of our participants. Each home, inside and out, is wheelchair
accessible. The extensive grounds provide ample space for walks, gardening, pets and quiet reflection. Our central locations within the Langley township and Langley
city are ideal for supporting community re-entry and building social connections. Classic Rehab programs offer both transitional rehabilitation as well as residential options for people living with acquired brain injury.
Added features within our rehab community include a fully equipped physical-occupational
therapy centre, computer and internet access and accessible passenger vans for individual and group outings. Our homes are within easy access of public transit, community centres, parks, swimming pools, banks, restaurants, shopping, cinemas and other amenities.
We believe in taking an active role in creating a community of support for our participants
that encompasses relationships, networking, respect and empowerment.
Lake Country Learning Community
Classic Rehabilitation Community is currently in the process of building homes to house a Transitional Rehabilitation and Residential Services for 42 people living with brain injuries in Lake Country, BC. Our anticipated completion date is January 2009. The Lake Country Learning Community, will reflect our current philosophy of care in Langley, BC.
Our building design concept is similar to a condominium complex and includes six homes each with seven private bedrooms, kitchen and living and dining room and everything a home offers. The six homes are attached by a connecting corridor behind the building which will house some common areas, such as a fitness centre, offices and other therapy, meeting and recreation and leisure areas. The outside landscape design plan provides outdoor living spaces and areas for gardening, relaxation and social gatherings. Our development is in the Winfield neighborhood which has many parks, boarders on Bottom Woods Lake and has retail amenities.
The Interior Health Authority (IHA) has partnered with us to provide transitional rehabilitation and residential supports for 28 of their clients. The additional 14 units will be available for private contracts.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like more information or if you are interested in learning about career opportunities.
